Signs of the Apocalypse (Baseball Version)

Ahem.
  • Jeff Weaver (8-14 record in the regular season this year) holds the Mets to 2 runs twice in the NLCS.
  • Kenny Rogers (walked in the series-ending winning run as a Met vs. the Braves in the ’99 NLCS) shuts out the Yankees on 4 hits in the Division Series and shuts out the A’s on 2 hits in the ALCS.
I don’t believe in (baseball) miracles. These guys are proven choke artists.

Drug test ‘em!

I love it!!! Jeff couldn't do nothing but serve up homerun ballz when he pitched with the Yanks, and Rogers benefited by all the Yankee pitchers and hitters in '96 who bailed his ass from one mess after another and got a World Series ring.

You call what Rogers did walking in the winning run. Dude threw 4 str8 ballz! Where in the hell was the strike zone when he came in anyway? Geez Michelle! Mets are still going to win the series though...

If they win, do you think Willie will replace Steve Trachsel with the injured El Duque? Does he play Lastings Milledge in place of Shawn Green?

I think I heard that if the Mets advance, Trachsel will be coming out of the bullpen. El Duque would get the nod (this is risky considering he hasn't pitched in awhile) to start and I hadn't heard anything about Lastings taking the place of Green. But, since they will be playing DH in AL stadiums, this would be a good time for Lastings to shine...

One more to go Mets. It's Yours. Go out and get it...
