Girl Gets Bird Flu After Kissing Chicken

At least this youngster looks likely to pull through. Or should I say, "pullet" through. Heh.

But honest to god, don't these people think? I understand that some of them consider the chickens to be pets, but if my dog gets sick I'm sending her butt outside until it passes, or euthanizing her if that's what's more humane.

I guess you don't have to be a self-absorbed American to neglect what your kids are up to.

Yeah, I love my dogs, but no way to I kiss them on the mouth. If I'm not paying attention and they jump up and lick my face, I wash my face thoroughly and immediately.

I'd do that with any animal, sick or well.
