Gorgeous pics! Thanks for sharing. Questions regarding the giant spider you took on your Baltic Cruise . . . was it in a museum? And is it mummified or a replica? What's the average weight? Do they attack humans? Animals? What exactly do they feed on? And where do they live? In an icy region? In forests?
It's unbelieveable! I'd hate to meet up with a live one! That's not to say that I have a fear of spiders. But in this case they would be rather overwhelming.
The spider statue was in a museum, but I forget which country I was in, or what the name of the museum was. :) That's the downside of waiting so long to catalog my photos! The context of some of them has been lost. I think it was in London.

What a relief! As a sculpure it's very intriguing. And your mom looks like a sweetheart. I've been without parents since just before my daughter was born. :( My dad passed on just before my 16th birthday and my mom passed on just after my 25th birthday. It's been a long time without them. :...(
I'm so embarrassed. I didn't enlarge the spider photo, or else I would have known it was a statue. Is my face red or what? And my comment about your mother was from the other photos where she's closer to the lens.
