Anna Nicole Smith
I think she's going to win her case. There isn't any law against throwing away one's money. If the old man wanted her to have his fortune, hey. Maybe his son was a bastard and he wanted to teach him a lesson.
He did make out a will, and the son forged three pages of it to exclude her. There was a trust set up for her, and the son didn't want her to get it. I lived in Texas when all this started, so I've heard an earful, NPR also likes to talk about it. She's no paragon of virtue, but the son is one hell of a SOB.

My question is: Why didn't the guy make out a Will? Or did he?

Wow! What a soap opera! If the pages were forged, did the authorities catch him? IOW, has it been proven?
I'm guessing the forgery hasn't been proven, otherwise the case wouldn't have gotten all the way to the Supreme Court.
Yes, it's quite the soap opera. ;)
